I had really good intentions of coming up with something to say here today. I'd planned to write a post last night, but ended up sitting in a car with a friend instead, talking about all the stuff of life.
So, here's my question for you:
What are you reading lately? What books are challenging you? What blogs are making you laugh or cry, or just generally think about life in a way that you think everyone should be exposed to? I'm looking for some new book titles and blogs, so leave them in the comments and we'll all benefit!

Well you know all the blogs I read since you see them linked in my sidebar - the only new one is Alece's (well and then the Deep Roots & Wide Wings one she links to)
What am I reading? Pretty sure you know I'm reading most, if not all of these...but...
*Can You Hear Me? by Brad Jersak
*Between the Dreaming and the
Coming True by Robert Benson
*A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser (it's about grief, but really was just a really good book)
*Upper Room Worshipbook by Elisa Eslinger
*Ruthless Trust by Brennan Manning
(well, I finished it awhile ago, but since we're reading it for work I'm rereading whichever part we're actually discussing for that staff meeting)
The "If" books are fun discussion starters or get to know you type questions...some are kooky and definitely worth skipping over, but I got some after Kelle mentioned them on her blog, and one I got was the "If...Questions for the Soul" one by James Saywell and Evelyn McFarlane. Some questions could be fun in a small group type thing or on a long car ride...or if you had a very interactive blog :-)
Just read:
Alone With a Jihadist by Aaron Taylor
Madness by Marya Hornbacher
Currently Reading:
A Great Awakening by Jim Wallis
Spiritual Formation by Henri Nouwen
And then there's the various assortment of blogs and articles on my Google reader-- current events/politics, feminist thought blogs, psych blogs, spiritual thought blogs, etc.
I'm reading you :)
I don't know how I ended up at your site but I'm glad I did as I enjoyed what I read. Currently, I'm between books. I'm working my way through a 150 page book of Sudoku puzzles and just finished reading Western Gardening. My garden could use the help along with some sunshine! I just came across an interesting book called "The Thinker's Thesaurus" by Peter Meltzer. It's a wonderful reference that I use for my journal with interesting, original synonyms that are just on the tip of my tongue.
LP/CA - you'll have to let me know how the book by Brad Jersak is. I actually own that one - bought it when I heard him speak at a conference about a year ago, but haven't read it yet. And I might have to look for the If books too :)
Ally - I'll have to look for some of those titles too... And I love almost anything by Henri Nouwen
Shel - thanks for the suggestion (rolling eyes) :)
Betty - welcome here! The Thinker's Thesaurus sounds interesting too... might have that one to my list as well!
