Fall

Ironicly enough, I did a quiz this morning that told me my nightmare is falling.  (I don't ever dream that I'm falling, though I've dreamt about being on the edge of precipices.)

I slipped on some wet, icy stairs this morning on my way to work and fell down half a flight before coming to rest.

My jacket (nice and long) flipped up instead of covering my butt, so I bounced through several puddles of muddy muck on my way down, and am starting the day off right with a very wet and rather dirty butt.  It's terribly uncomfortable.  It was one thing to be wet like this when I'd just crawled out of a swimming pool after demonstrating a synchronized swimming figure to one of my students, and was sitting on the deck, continuing the lesson.  It's a whole other ball of wax when I'm sitting at a computer, in an office!

I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle in my shoulder, because of the jerk from the bag I was carrying on that arm, and I think I'm going to have a fairly bruised hip, and just generally sore neck, shoulders and back for a few days.  I may have also rolled one ankle.

As falls go, it definitely wasn't the worst winter fall I've ever had.  And that is worth being thankful for.

Ah, well, at least the day can literally only go up from there!

Ooh that sounds painful. I hope your day goes way up from there!
