Close to the Brokenhearted

Psalm 34:18 (NLT)
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

I'm drawing comfort in new ways from this tonight.

HI Lisa
this is such a comforting scripture - however we might feel, He is there with us.
I came across this the other night in Isaiah, (Message trans):
'I live in the high and holy places, but also with the low-spirited, the spirit-crushed. And what I do is put new spirit in them, get them up and on their feet again.' Is 57:15.

Right on! This is my prayer for 2009.
