Slowly Revived

Every time I start a new job, I forget that it takes a physical and mental toll on me.

In the case of my current job, it has exacted a pretty high emotional cost as well.

Like I said, I forget about the cost of adapting to something new.

I forget about it until I'm beginning to come out the other side.

Until I'm beginning to find myself feeling slowly revived.

I think I'm finally there.

Slowly, oh so slowly finding my footing again, and not feeling buried by life.

It's a pretty awesome feeling, to start emerging from that fog of stress again.

I'm so thankful I'm being slowly revived.

It's funny how we forget these things that are fairly predictable based on past experience. I do that too. Maybe it's a survival instinct that we forget or we might not move forward out of fear. I don't know. But I'm glad you're emerging and adjusting to the new demands on your body and mind and heart. It's amazing what we can do when we just put one foot in front of the other.

Oh, and I'm really getting excited to meet you. Yay!!!! I leave in 28 days and 21 hours according to my countdown. :)
