This one was posed. L. was quite amused by this guy's antics, and asked him if he'd pose for a photo with her. This "lovely" costumed character was waiting just around a corner, sort of "sneaking" up on hapless concert-goers as they came around the corner to enter the building.
In this case, L. was so amused by the costumes that she pulled the "take a photo of me when you're really taking one of them" trick. So, notice L., but mostly, notice the costumed symphony goers in the background.

lindsey and i laughed about how your friend posed for the photo in order to get the photo of the people behind her. great trick. i think we have all done it.
funny story: there is a girl standing just out of frame of this shot, blocked by the guy with the back pack. We took note of her because she was sort of semi-costumed, and she had really beautiful dreadlocks - the clean, semi-pretty kind instead of the greasy scary kind. well, at intermission, L. had gone downstairs, and I was sitting with my brother, and who should approach us but this semi-costumed, dreadlocked girl. Seems she knows both of my brothers. I had to work so hard not to crack up, thinking about how she'd almost been in a fakely posed picture earlier that evening...
